This is the first review of my second round with Steps To Knowledge.

Yesterday's step that I have a true foundation in the world was very moving for me. At one point I had tears streaming down my face as I realized how mistaken I had been about my true foundation. For some reason, I had decided that the approval of others was my true foundation. I was living as though my efforts required a "good job" or some other verification that I had accomplished something of value.

Today, I realize that my true foundation is Knowledge. Knowing what I have done is enough. Simply engaging with the results is a more effective method of evaluating my actions rather than expecting recognition from someone else.

Many of the most notable movements of Knowledge in human history have not come to fruition until long after their originators' life ended. For instance, the Jesus or the Buddha, Moses or Krishna, Muhammed or Noah. All of these great people acted as they knew they needed to despite the disapproval they garnered in doing so.

Step 7

Review

IN TODAY’S TWO PRACTICE PERIODS, review all that we have covered thus far, beginning with the first step and continuing on up to include the preceding day’s step. Then consider the entire sequence of the steps together. It is very important at this juncture that you not require that you have any conclusions, but that you ask questions and realize the extent to which you need true Knowledge. If you undertake this practice today sincerely, it will be most evident that you have this great need. You are vulnerable without your assumptions, but you are also in a position to receive truth and certainty in life.

TAKE TWO PRACTICE PERIODS TODAY, 30 minutes each, to consider these things.

Practice 7: Two 30-minute practice periods.
